Our third graders had a lot of fun smashing a strawberry and mixing it with rubbing alcohol, soap, and water in order to extract the DNA from the strawberry. It sounds simple, but as our scientist soon discovered this was a very delicate process. A big thank you to Caitlin's mom, Jennifer, for helping with our groups that day. I would never have gotten done without her help.
